Review of Hit & Run (2012) by Laura W — 27 Dec 2012
Right from the start, it's like watching a commercial for the acting couple of Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard. Hey, they're good people, but this is not a good movie. If it focused more on story development instead of romantic scenes, the viewer's would get a good movie.
This way, I don't know, for every action scene or gag there are two or three scenes with boring dialogues or expressions of affection between the two main characters. And they're presented as super sweet, so that is too much of sweetness.
Based on the trailer and promos, I was expecting something like True Romance, but more on the comedic side. Nah, it's not like that at all. Okay, the bad guy is white and has dreadlocks, and there's plenty of chase scenes, but there's not much more than that if you're looking for Tarantino-like qualities.
Watch it, don't watch it, whatever.
