Review of Hit & Run (2012) by Bryce P — 06 Feb 2013
An action comedy is surprisingly better than expected with laughs and ever lasting chasing. Charlie Bronson (Dax Shepard) is in a witness protection program in a town called Milton while under the supervision of a U.
S. Marshall Randy ( Tom Arnold). Charlies girlfriend Annie (Kristen Bell) who is a professor at a college just got an interview to a University in Los Angeles. As Charlie was convinced to take her to Los Angeles for that interview as he is putting himself at risk from leaving his protection.
Alex Dmitri ( Bradley Cooper) a bank robber who was testified against by Charlie has been found. The movie is a non stop rush of chase sequences with sport cars to muscle car with a interesting fact that the movies budget was so low that the actors did there own driving and stunts.
The movie did have some hilarious moments. The chemistry between Dax Shepard and Kristen Bell was good even though they are actually engaged in real life. Bradley Cooper was okay as Alex with dreadlocks at the same time he was a bit unbelievable as the bad guy.
What fell short with the movie is there really is not much of a plot. The plot runs a bit thin while the movie is consist of cat and mouse chase sequences throughout. The movie has some humor to pass the time.
