Review of Hit & Run (2012) by Christian C — 02 Jul 2013
This is perhaps the most pleasantly surprising movie I've seen since (appropriately enough, considering the female lead) Forgetting Sarah Marshall. Writer/director/star Dax Shepard has put together a movie filled to the brim with authenticity.
It isn't perfect, but despite what the package might suggest, there isn't a cliche to be found and the simple premise is generously padded with quirkiness. With its unusual dialogue, absurdist humor, and nearly flawless timing, it might be best described as an homage to the Coen brothers.
Dax Shepard needs to write more movies.
