A newspaper editor uses every trick in the book to stop hie reporter ex-wife from re-marrying. Certainly one of the high points of the screwball comedy genre. His Girl Friday is entertaining, poignant and even comes across as a satirical taking many digs at the world of journalism.

The dialogue is fast paced and incredibly witty, with Cary Grant and Rosalind Russell feeding off each other and sharing some wonderful chemistry. But one of the best aspects of this Howard Hawks film is that to this day it still feels every bit as fast and loose as it must have when it was first released.
