Review of His Girl Friday (1940) by Jason M — 29 Feb 2008
An amazingly face paced and energetic film. its theatre origins are obvious by its single room setting and off camera action. cary grant is charming and funny as the savvy newspaper editor and russell meets him blow for blow.
not a masterpiece but certainly a classic. I am keen to see billy wilder's interpretation in 'switching channels'.
