Review of His Girl Friday (1940) by Bill T — 02 Jun 2008

I've seen this twice now, and it's still pretty much what I thought of it then (much like "It Happened One Night'), sophisticated sharp comedy for it's day, but rather shoulder-shruggish for me now.

The acting is excellent though, I don't know how Russell and Grant keep up, their reparte is great. Good movie, just don't expect belly laughs.
