Howard Hawks' overlapping dialogue makes the beginnings and ends of sentences unnecessary and creates one of the fastest-paced films of all time. The entire cast is superb in both the comedic heart of the story and the serious subplot of a wrongly-accused man about to be executed.
Rosalind Russell shines in one of the juiciest parts ever written for a woman in the movies.
