Review of Hiruko the Goblin (1991) by Godfrey C — 08 Mar 2009
Tsukamoto proves he can use a camera in a more conventional sense with this super-fun, super-gory horror-comedy. While some technical elements are heavily borrowed from The Evil Dead and The Thing, this is definitely no rip-off.
A great time, and a film that deserves to go in the "great movies to discover in high school" file right next to Evil Dead 2 and Re-Animator.
