Review of Hillary's America: The Secret History of the Democratic Party (2016) by Jeni B — 10 Oct 2016
This movie uses a lot of biased and re-written history (KKK-member 'Dixiecrats' are closer to modern-day republicans than democrats. In the 1940s through 1960s southern democrats switched parties after presidents like FDR, JFK and LBJ began to rightfully side with civil rights leaders.
) to make its points about the democratic party (though I have to admit FDR, JFK, Thomas Jefferson, and Bill Clinton were all democrats. Ben Franklin was very liberal.) It comes off as alt-right propaganda that even the valid questions it raises about Hillary Clinton are lost in the holier-than-thou, alt-right base muck.
No Republican apparently EVER did anything wrong: No Republican EVER cheated on his wife (LA politicians Vitter and McAllister to name two of the most recent.) I don't think this will be watched by anyone not of its core member base unless it is for a poli-sci or film-study class.
Skip.
