Review of Hilary and Jackie (1998) by Evelyn T — 02 Jun 2007
I'm not sure how accurate this movie is, but it tries to be an account of Jacqueline du Pre, one of the best cellists there's ever been, and her sister, Hilary's lives. Putting historical accuracy aside, this move is very moving and well made, and it shows what people can put behind them when they love one another.
That said, their sisterly relationship was really messed up. And with so much beautiful cello music in the soundtrack, you can't go wrong!
