Review of Highlander: The Source (2007) by Delia B — 19 Sep 2007
OK, this movie had a good concept that could have been a shot in the butt that the franchise needed. But what we got was nothing we wanted: good character development, good sword fights, good music...there weren't even any funny flashbacks or anything.
This felt like it was in a completely different world from the first and 4th movies (the only good ones) and the series (which is a bad thing for Highlander...they must feel like they're in a believable, real world with their immortality the only fantastic part of it.
) In this show, I kept waiting for the zombies to attack. Not to mention they tried to do too big a movie on a modest budget. I'm not going to say there weren't some good parts (death of a friend & death of a sword.
..moments way too big for this crappy movie.) As I said, the concept was great...just POORLY executed. I put this about equal with Highlander 3...much better than H2, much worse than H4.
