Review of Highlander II: The Quickening (1991) by John W — 25 Jun 2012
A horribly disappointing sequel to the original Highlander (which rocked). Muddied by a ridiculous attempt to explain the immortals origin as ET's and a preposterous plotline, it fails on every level.
While Lambert and Connery are both back, it feels like they are largely going through the motions - the original chemistry is gone. About the only thing going for it are the awesomely over the top Michael Ironside and the always beautiful and talented Virginia Madsen.
Otherwise, this one is a stinker.
