Review of Highlander (1986) by Nat G — 07 Sep 2010
I don't care what people say about this film, I love it I could watch it again and again. I think it's because I saw it a long time ago when I was young, and it was one of the first action films I had seen, I didn't realise till later the music was done by Queen.
Queen are one of my favourite bands, and I think there efforts putting music to this film, make for a beautiful combination. I also love the plot of the film, although it is completely silly, he does go through time nicely, jumping to scenes all over the place, not many films can do this.
Christopher Lamberts voice has also been criticised, but I think you can over look this, the film quality is not that good, and it really needs cleaning up and given a 5.1 surrounded mix, but I guess that will never happen.
I love all the action scene's and the last one on the Silvercup sign, is just amazing. Just thinking about his film makes me happy, just one warning though, do not watch the sequels as they are just terrible, just watch this film as a stand alone.
