I would probubly be the first fan of fantasy to say this movie didn't really impress me. The story is very creative and the acting is fine but some things in this movie really get on my nerves. The main thing that anoys me is the blatant sexism spread throught the movie.
You could argue that the highlanders are the kind to treat women unfairly because of their society but it almost goes with the theme. You could have the same arguement with Conan, but only Conan acts that way and if anything it only means he's a pervert.
Other then that, this movie isn't bad. The flash backs of Conor's past are interesting and the sword fighting are cool, a typical fantasy movie in other words.
