Review of Higher Learning (1995) by Thebrownhornet J — 05 Feb 2007
I was in college when I first saw this movie, and we were loud and roudy in the theater, exclaiming that this film exposed so many hidden truths about racism. Looking back, however, I see that this movie was an unrealistic and skewed example of a microcosm that happened to be situated on a college campus.
The plot was extreme to make a point, I gather, but I think that a bit of subtlety would have served its purpose better.
