Vera Farmiga is a stunning actress, which makes it difficult to admit her first feature behind the camera left me lukewarm. I respect her bringing fair treatment to a touchy subject, never standing to one side.
If only it didn't seem to jump around most of the way, not supported by an uneven pace.
