Review of High Society (2014) by Kathleen D — 16 Mar 2008

Let's face it, Grace Kelly was a great actress but she was no Tracy Lord. The role did not suit her, even though I expected her to pull it off (after all, Grace Kelly was pure class). In fact, the movie did not bring out the best of any actors, which is a total downer, because they're amazing actors! I did enjoy the songs, especially Frank Sinatra's numbers, while Louis Armstrong put a smile on my face every time he was on screen.

All in all, an easy second-rate film to The Philadelphia Story.
