Review of High Society (1956) by Marissa C — 13 Jul 2008
A really charming film with all the panache you expect from Sinatra, Crosby and Armstrong. Grace Kelly is exquiste (but crazy thin...seriously, how did that woman breathe?). The costumes, especially Kelly's, are dream-like beautiful and the music is by Cole Porter.
..who could ask for anything more? Yes, the dialogue is a bit cheesey, but the circumstances are rather racy for the times, but overall, it's an endearing and fun movie.
