Review of High School Musical 3: Senior Year (2008) by ☆♥~ Barbara~♥☆ S — 04 Sep 2010
This is a beautiful film. Sometimes what makes things something both enjoyable and also bittersweet is the knowledge that it wouldn't last. When I was watching this film, I felt that. I've seen the previous films and in some ways I enjoyed them. But I knew it wouldn't last and it all culminated into this film.
These kids have grown up and now must go on with new and I believe, better things. But in a way, I bet there are a lot out there who probably grew up watching them. And just like an old friend, they in a small way may have become part of their lives. And I wonder, in the future, what would the people who will watch these films think about these.
Another thing that gives this film impact is how it delves into the very decisions that many of us had gone through. What college do we go to. How do we keep tabs with old friends. Who do we want to be in the future. This means that viewers, especially those who are making those decisions currently can feel connected to the characters.
Highschool musical in my eyes and ears delivers songs and story that surpasses its previous incarnations. A fitting end to the Highschool Musical film series, or maybe a start for something new.
