Review of High School Musical 3: Senior Year (2008) by Don S — 16 Jul 2011
The singing and dancing are on par with the other movies, the characters are portrayed as we know them to be, and yet with each passing movie the premise seems staler than the last. The characters have become almost caricatures of themselves, with no evidence of growth. Even the spring musical ends nearly the same way every time, with either Gabrielle or Troy and Gabrielle (completely unbelievably) showing up just in the nick of time. Even though this is enjoyable, I'm hoping that it really is the last HSM. It appears to me they are trying to introduce new younger characters to continue the franchise.
