Review of High School Musical (2006) by Gio P — 14 Apr 2012
Disney's own "Grease", it's the bland tweeny pop musical that influenced the next few years of youth-oriented movie musicals and Teen Disney itself. While it's now cheesy and annoying, it's not without its shining moments: Ashley Tisdale in a Paris Hilton parody and Lucas Grabeel as her metrosexual brother.
Nothing new though. As the best and the movie's most definitive number says: stick to the status quo.
