I know a lot of people complain that Disney's "High School Musical" franchise is too kiddie and unrealistic. And while its sequels are certainly worthy of such criticism, the first movie is actually quite enjoyable.
It's basically a sweeter, more innocent retelling of "Grease". Plus, I *really* like how the message of this film is the opposite of the message in "Grease": to thy own self be true.
And people, let's face it: "Glee" is just Fox's answer to "High School Musical".
