Review of High Plains Drifter (1973) by Bearwitch B — 22 Nov 2007
Classic Clint Eastwood spaghetti western that starts with the prototypical stranger riding into town, perhaps to save the people from their problems. As the plot unfolds, it becomes clear that the "bad guys" are the townsfolk, and the stranger is an instrument of universal justice visited upon their sins.
The concept, the characterizations, and the execution are all well done.
