Review of High Plains Drifter (1973) by Andrew S — 28 Jun 2009
Wow was this a surprise for me! The film quality is not very high but the story is just amazing. It starts off with the man with no name (Clint Eastwood) raping a girl in broad day light, and the story gets more sordid from there.
Who has the moral right is always in question as this story gets deeper and deeper in it's sordidness. This is a great movie for it's brutally honest and truthful portrayal of humanity and it's weaknesses.
And it's fun too. This is Tarentino-esque when Tarentino was just a boy. Great stuff!
