Review of High Fidelity (2000) by Andre S — 29 Sep 2009
3: Quality picture and a great example of the genre. Cusack seems to be made for it. All the music, clothes, locations, sentiments, etc all seem right on the money. Rarely is there a film this focused on music, and good music for that matter.
It effectively accomplishes exactly what one hopes it will. It seems a bit like a cross between a big-budget star-studded Hollywood genre picture and a quirky independent film. As many times as I've seen it the film still manages to retain my interest as well.
