Review of High Fidelity (2000) by Connor _ — 16 Jan 2010
A movie about music. Classic John Cusack performance, with a cameo appearance by Bruce Springsteen, my favorite musician, which made this movie even better for me. The screenplay is very funny and Jack Black is perfect for his hilarious role.
Cusack is easily relatable to anybody who's been through hell with relationships. The writing, including a lough-out-loud hilarious scene with Tim Robbins, is very creative and funny. His love of classic rock music, which he loves even more than I do, adds comedy and realism to the film.
Cusack's narration and constant list-making habits complete the script. The soundtrack often sets the mood of the scene, and the songs used do so pretty effectively. 8.7/10.
