This type of movie is made for an actor like John Cusak. Jack Black is normally a pain in the ass, but he's just a supporting actor here, with a role which fits him. The film is filled with stuff music buffs will love, a superb soundtrack.
Even if you ignore all the music, there is still a great romantic commedy left that everybody can and should enjoy.
