I can see where the cult rep comes in (the music), but the movie--man, can you say overrated? john cusack's character is such a despicable, insufferable loser. this movie is kind of like the male version of a crappy princess-y rom com--just like you shouldn't date girls who are in love with like, 27 dresses, you shouldn't date guys who can quote high fidelity (same goes for its bastard offspring, (500) days of summer).
