Review of High Fidelity (2000) by Tibor B — 19 Aug 2010
Very successful adaptation of Nick Hornby's novel, in which the imminent break-up with his current girlfriend forces record store owner Rob Gordon to revisit past painful break-ups. The cast is superb, and Cusack brilliantly balances a tired, cynical acceptance of the realities of life with the genuine warmth of a true romantic.
This is a rom-com for guys who dreamt too much in their teenage bedrooms!
