(2002) High Crimes.
MYSTERY/ THRILLER.
Based on the Joseph Finder novel centering on wife Claire Kubik (Ashley Judd) a lawyer inadmittingly comes to the situation of defending her husband who she thought his name is Tom but is really Sgt Ron Chapman( Jim Caviezel) accused of murdering innocent civilians on some impoverished country. Because she has no military court experience, she seeks the aid of a lawyer who has a successful record in beating the military court and his name is Charles Grimes played by Morgon Freeman.
Ashley Judd's third pairing with Morgon Freeman and while I appreciate the way military court preceedings work, the film deves into stupidity toward the end.
2 out of 4.
