Review of High Anxiety (1977) by Jacob J — 14 Jan 2009
One of the funniest Mel Brooks movies ever made (the other two being History of the world Part I and Blazing Saddles).
Mel made this movie as an homage to Hitchcock and doesn't miss a trick. It's not necessarily for the Hitchcock fan, but if you've seen many or most of his movies and love early Brooks, you will find this movie to be a laugh a minute. Kahn is at her funniest and Mel's love song, "High Anxiety" is not only funny, but it's actually a really good song!
In case people don't know this, every song every done in Brooks' movies was written or co-wriiten by him (music AND lyrics!).
