Now I may not be the best judge of it, because I had to slip out of the screening for about 40 minutes due to relentless hunger. But what I saw, which was smack in the middle of the man-hunt, was gloriously entertaining.
The DVD version is luminously beautiful - the characters glow with such steady intensity that I was kept in awe throughout. Long but exciting, it's one hell of a detective movie.
