Review of High and Low (1933) by Levi P — 02 Jan 2011
The first half of the film plays out like a stage production, much like Twelve Angry Men. Thereâ(TM)s one set and the focus is only on the acting, which is driven by a kidnapping scenario. Then for the second half, it radically shifts gears, and focuses the law enforcement's efforts to find the kidnapper, which is dragged out with heavy, on the edge of your seat, suspense.
Genius!
