I'll give 'Seven Samurai,' 'Yojimbo,' 'Hidden Fortress' et al. five stars as well, but given masterpieces like this, 'Stray Dog,' 'The Bad Sleep Well,' and 'Ikiru,' I can't believe Kurosawa is pigeonholed as a samurai filmmaker.
