Review of High and Low (1933) by Andrew F — 20 Mar 2008
Entertaining forerunner for many crime thrilers. Calculated and gripping, despite its length, although it could have , like most Kurosawa films, been shorter. It reminded me of Blow Up at times, Sin City at others, and even Zodiac and The Vanishing.
I am exited to see more of Kurosawa's later work after seeing this exiting film.
