Review of High and Low (1933) by Eduardo C — 13 Feb 2012
A tense crime thriller masterpiece involving a kidnapping that really puts the viewer in the seat of the Gondo (Toshiro Mifune) character, so that you ask yourself what you would do in his shoes, and one lies to oneself if you think you already know what you would do.
So it has as much to do with psychology as it does crime, and the train scene is one of the greatest Kurosawa ever did.
