Review of Hierro (2009) by Fernando G — 09 Aug 2010
Watched a Spanish movie tonight called "Hierro", from the producers of The Orphanage and Pan's Labyrinth (Nectar, pay attention).
It's a psychological thriller, about a mother who loses his child in the spanish island of "El Hierro" and comes back 6 months later due to a phonecall she received. The rest is just a journey into the mind of the woman, who attempt to reveal the mysteries surrounding the island.
The description of it sounds super cool, but the movie is not as awesome as I thought it was, but it was OK. The story is actually quite sad to be honest about it.
It's a good rental if you don't mind subtitles (for non-spanish speakers).
