Review of Hideous Kinky (1999) by Brian I — 27 Aug 2008
I admitthat I dismissed Kate Winslet as a hack actress years ago because she appeared in that horrendous Titanic movie. I was wrong. I love the fact that she takes on interesting roles and this film is another great example.
Adults don't always grow up, even when they have kids and you would think normal maternal instincts would kick in. But at the beginning of the Me generation, that obviously was not always the case and this film presents a decent exploration of a two girls' journey with their lost mother.
