Review of Hidden Secrets (2006) by Stephen N — 31 Dec 2008
Okay, when I looked at what this movie was about, I thought it sounded like a Christian Soap Opera. But my sister decided to buy it because one of her favorite artists, Rachel Lampa, made her acting debut in this film.
I tried to remind her of another one of her artist's, Jaci Velasquez, acting debut which was a horrible movie, but she still insisted on getting it. Well, it was a very intriguing story. It's just hilarious how these actors you recognize from TV shows come together and make a hilarious and yet serious take on the church and the secrets the people inside it keep.
I mean, who would've thought of throwing the dad from "Family Matters", one of those rascals from "Dukes of Hazard", and "Monk" 's assistant in one hillarious movie.
The music was very recognizable consisting of many of Rachel's hits and also some Building 429 who made a cameo as the band in the bar, but they put it in scenes of the movie that brought even more depth to these songs we all know.
Maybe it was a little bit of a soap opera, but with a little twist of comedey wrapped in there. It was very meaningful and was worth seeing.
