Review of Hidden Figures (2016) by Acacia — 10 Jan 2017
This is such an enjoyable movie. The three actresses who play the NASA geniuses are excellent. Each one of them is fighting a personal battle in a timeframe jjst a couple of hears before the Civil Rights Act was passed.
As African American women, they are held back in many different ways. One woman has to run a half-mile just to use a bathroom that is designated for "coloreds". Watching this movie, it is often hard to believe that the U.
S. was like this back then. Also, seeing their part in the early stages of NASA's space program is a story I have never heard. It is fascinating and uplifting. This is a movie everyone can enjoy.
