Review of Hidden Figures (2016) by Tehl B — 26 Feb 2017
Melodramatic and schlocky, it bothered the crap out of me that half of the movie was her clumsily carrying 25 lbs of papers to the bathroom a mile away. If you were that damn smart you'd leave the notebooks at your desk.
But at the end of the day this movie is sappy, watered down, and felt like the Disney channel version of 1961 Virginia. It also has no antagonist and at every stage of the movie they are greeted by nothing but pleasantries leading to a movie with no conflict.
