Review of Heyy Babyy (2007) by Anusha C — 14 Sep 2007
Heyy... overrated!!! Can't believe the opening this film has got. It's ok, but I expected to be rolling around in laughter most of the time, which I wasn't. However I have to say that Akshay and Riteish have such fantastic comic timimg, they make the funny bits gr8! Fardeen is quite good, and Vidya Balan looks stunning but the film doesn't utilise her talent enough.
Another talent that isn't used enough is that of SRK!!! He's only there for a minute - shaaaaame! I agreed with the 'Luv u SRK' bit at the end, lol! I guess the real star is the baby - she's tooo cute!
The music is quite good - the best bit in the movie being the first song, which suits the movie, is a good intro, and looks amazing with all the actresses in!
I found that the film seemed to drag a bit, especially towards the end of the 1st half, although I didn't actually get bored. The pace picks up in the 2nd half when Vidya Balan plays a more active part.
There is a deeper message in this movie, but it's not too prominent, in my opinion. I'm sure some of the situations rang a bell with some (hmm or likely to be quite a number) of guys - hopefully it gave them food for thought!
Well... it's different!
