Review of Hey Hey It's Esther Blueburger (2008) by Liam P — 07 Apr 2008
A nice lead performance from Danielle Catanzariti and a stellar supporting one from Essie Davis, sporting a pitch-perfect Aussie accent, can't stop this episode in irritating quirkiness from falling headlong into the ordinary.
Keisha Castle-Hughes works hard in a thankless role and Toni Collette gives a surprisingly lacklustre one that is exacerbated by Cathy Randall's inexperience at the helm. There are lovely moments but they're too few and far between.
