Review of Hesher (2010) by Wes L — 24 Jan 2012

Here's a movie I really enjoyed watching, even though it's not very good. The characters seem thrown together by the demands of the story, and Hesher is so ill defined that he alternates between entertaining, tiresome and evil.

Portman especially seems to have wandered in from a different movie. But I was never bored. The story kept me relatively invested, and Gordon-Levitt and Wilson give solid performances. Two stars for actual movie quality, four for my enjoyment.
