Review of Hesher (2010) by Karl G — 31 Jul 2012
A well acted movie that had all the potential to be great, but fell short. As you watch Joseph Gordon-Levitt give an amazing performance in a role he had yet to explore, you can't help but get distracted by how profane this movie truly is.
I watched this movie because I am a huge fan of Natalie Portman and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and although I expected a profane movie, this was too much. Portman's character was the light point of this movie(along with the grandmother).
Along with this, the story was really something seen many times before, they just took it to a whole new level. I enjoyed watching the performances, and some scenes were emotionally reeling, but the profanity was distracting.
