Review of Hero (1984) by Taylor M — 18 Aug 2009
On a visual level, the film could not have been any better. Transitioning between scenes featuring two men waging war through one-on-one combat in a local chess house, and a battle of swords above a mirror-like river make "Hero" quite the experience for anyone's eyes to see.
Everything from the storyline to the film's physical appearence all assisted with a thunderous score from the great Tan Dun make "Hero" a definant recommendation for any lover of films.
