I'm reading a lot of reviews of people saying they didn't get it and had to look up the meaning of the film, after watching. Everything was explained, I thought pretty clearly, throughout the film.
I'm also reading that some people laughed. I imagine the people that laughed were the same people looking up the meaning of the film and then giving it a bad review, because they weren't intelligent enough to 'get it'.
For every bad review, there are more good reviews. This film was great. No one can tell me otherwise. I hate 90% of movies I see. A film has to be really great for me to enjoy it. And for it to keep my attention for over two hours, speaks volumes.
One article described this movie as more horrifying than scary, and I get what they're saying. This movie oozes with wickedness, evil. It is horrifying. It gets in your head. However, it also did make me jump multiple times and took my breath away.
