This movie really has nothing to add that is new to the so-called horror genre. a couple jump-scares, lots of interpersonal tension within the family, and some ghostly phenomenon. by the end of it I wished I'd had a remote control to fast forward through it.
and in the end, it was grisly but confusing as hell. whoever said it was 2018's poltergeist needs their head examined. not worth seeing at the cinema.
