Review of Hereditary (2018) by Tj S — 10 Jun 2018
This film is receiving very polarizing reviews and I am one of the folks shouting "I love this film" I've always been a fan of a horror movie that sets up a scary atmosphere and doesn't rely on the typical jump scare method of horror.
A horror film like this is reminiscent of horror classics such as Rosemary's Baby and Don't Look Now. I love a great atmosphere and slow creepy build up. Another great part of this film that shall not be overlooked is the amazing acting on display here.
I hate to beat a dead horse but Toni Collette is phenomenal in this movie! The two young actors playing her children are also really great in this movie. I understand that this movie is not for all horror fans but it is an instant classic for me and one of the best horror movies of 2018.
