Review of Hereditary (2018) by Chelsea I — 10 Jun 2018
This was the most thrilling horror movie experience I have ever had. I expected it to be good, but not so good that I was sweating and crying and watching people leave the theatre. I expected a cliche but fun watch that I'd forget about in a few months, but this is legitimately going to linger in my mind forever.
It's so deeply uncomfortable to watch the entire way through without the overt jump scares and cheap tricks I'm used to as a veteran scary movie fan. I've found a new favorite, but I'm not sure how soon I can watch it again.
